When going on a trip, sometimes you have to learn to compromise. Let's be realistic, for this much savings, you can't expect the high-end amenities other expensive resorts would offer. Basically, you get what you pay for. So its up to you to make the most out of it.

Straight off college was when I first got a taste of this slice of heaven. Back then, I was completely mesmerized by its seemingly innocent beauty. And then 3 years later, I was back. I never though another 4 years would mean having to witness such a cruel change in Boracay. Gone is its stunning, yet delicate appeal. Its somewhat rustic look. This is now replaced with an overwhelming number of infrastructure. Its wide expanse of beachfront seems to have been cut in half. I don't know what its like living in Boracay, I can only afford to stay there a few days at a time. But as I witnessed it happen, looks to me like mother nature has something to do with some of the recent change in the island.

Apparently at night, the entire beachfront along station 1 is wiped out and the sea takes over. The water rises up to more than a foot and covers the stretch of sand. And although Boracay still boasts of the finest sands, it no longer has the appeal of a seemingly floating cloud. It looks rather lifeless, flat.

Nevertheless, you can still enjoy the beach, the  food, the people and overall, Boracays magnificent character. Oh and one of its saving grace?

very addicting lol
I didn't bother to take that much picture really. I wanted to enjoy myself, plus I kept fighting this nagging feeling that its no longer the same :(
